Reformation Day

On the last Friday evening in October, Central Valley Presbyterian gathers for an evening of celebration as we remember Martin Luther's nailing of his 95 Theses on October 31st, 1517 that sparked the Protestant Reformation. This event is part outreach and part fellowship. Although we have not advertised this in any of the years we've gathered, the event draws over 200 members and guests for food, music, worship and fun. Each year we've chosen to highlight the teachings of one key figure in the Protestant Reformation. In years past, we've studied Martin Luther, John Knox, and John Calvin.

In 2007, we will be highlighting the gathering of the Westminster Divines for the purpose of completing the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Members and guests are encouraged to dress in period costumes.
